Birgitte
Karle - Payroll Manager
Birgitte joined the Payroll Department in
July 1998 when the department consisted of
one other and processed approx. 175 payrolls
annually. Her previous payroll experience
was from a publishing company in Denmark.
She gradually progressed to become payroll
manager in November 2001 and has recently
graduated with a management diploma degree
from the Institute of Payroll and Pensions
Management (IPPM). The payroll department
now processes approximately 300 payrolls annually. |

Chris Zacharia - Payroll Portfolio Manager
Chris joined the Payroll Department in June 2007. Previously he has worked in both industry and public practice, dealing with payrolls of various sizes. Chris manages an increasing portfolio of payrolls with an assistant. |

Danny
Tan - Bureau Services Manager
Prior to joining GE, Danny was with a small
practice for about 12 years dealing with audit
and overall account services. He joined the
practice on 5 January 1998 and was recruited
within Bureau Services Department as a manager.
Since then, the department has grown and his
additional services to the client includes
setting up accounting systems and training
of their staff in the usage of such computerised
accounts software packages. |

Michael
Porter - Tax Manager
Mike commenced his tax career with the Inland
Revenue in November 1967 and was appointed
an Inspector of Taxes in June 1972. He joined
Gerald Edelman in March 1995 as manager of
the tax department dealing with both personal
and corporate taxation matters. |

Patricia
Norris - Manager of Company
Registration Department
Pat heads up the company registration department
dealing with a wide range of statutory requirements
from incorporation of companies, most of which
can now be dealt with in house and on line,
dealing with subsequent Company House requirements
including Annual Returns. She has many years
experience in this field of work. |

Paul
Berendt - Partnership Accountant
Paul is the newest recruit to the team having
joined the firm in July 2004 on a part time
basis and became full time in January 2005
following the retirement of his predecessor.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in
1975 with Robson Rhodes and has spent most
of his career as financial controller to various
companies within the commercial sector. Prior
to joining Gerald Edelman, he was employed
by companies which are clients of the firm. |

Salim
Hamir - FCCA ACA
Qualified as both a Chartered and Certified
Accountant. Salim joined Gerald Edelman in
July, 2000. Salim is a Senior Manager focusing
on working with the firm's high profile, larger
and more complex clients including those listed
on AIM.
He also works alongside David Atkinson dealing
with technical auditing, accounting and company
law matters and the firm's regulatory and
compliance procedures.
Salim also acts as the Honorary Treasurer
for a local charity for his community. |

Sean
Lamb - Practice Manager
Sean joined the firm in 2001 and is responsible
for our Human Resources department. Based
at our Whetstone office, he has more than
twenty years of experience in recruitment
and employment matters gained with other public
practice firms and an international media
company. |

Simon
Hosier - Trust Manager
Simon joined Gerald Edelman in September 1979
as an audit junior. In 1982 he transferred
to the Trust Department and became the Trust
Manager in 1986. The department has in recent
years considerably expanded and now employs
an additional three members of staff. He is
responsible for dealing with different types
of trust established for a variety of reasons
including tax planning and family provision.
In latter years increased emphasis has been
required on the charitable sector due to the
regulatory changes that have been instigated.
Simon has been involved with the provision
of advice to various charities and dealing
with the preparation of the required statutory
accounts. The department also has expertise
in estates including dealing with the initial
grant of probate and the administration required
thereafter. |

Simon
Howell - Business Services Manager
Joined the Company in 1984 as a junior and
has been a Business Services Manager since
1992 dealing in general practice clients for
a variety of partners. Enjoys squash, golf
and clay pigeon shooting. |

Visahan
Subramaniam - Business Services Manager
Joined the firm in September 1999 as an ACCA
qualified Business Services Senior. Promoted
as a Manager in the Business Services Department
in May 2003. Manages a portfolio mainly of
owner managed businesses. Member of the GE
cricket team. |
