Welcome to the Winter Edition of GENIE. We send out our annual diaries with this edition although if you are reading a digital copy I suspect you will not want one or prefer an electronic diary in your phone or tablet.
We get mixed views on the diaries from clients who tell us they are essential, to others who are totally digital who think they are a waste of time. In the words of President Lincoln “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time but you can’t please all the people all of the time”.
We do our best but I have now personally converted to a digital diary which is very good indeed and can therefore see the day when we abandon paper for good.
Welcome to the Autumn edition of GENIE. No apologies for the tax theme this time round as we had the Summer budget in July and there are a considerable number of major tax changes planned for implementation from either 6th April 2016 or 2017. I am confident these will impact our clients one way or another across the board.
The move to Cornhill has completed and the Harley Sreet office is now re-settled in its new wonderful home. We seem to have started a tredn as more and more proessional firms, both large and small, move east.
We are always pleased to hear your views on Genie and suggestions for future articles. In the meantime we wish you an enjoyable summer.
