The best part of my job is the relationships I build with my clients. I enjoy finding out about our client’s businesses and find it inspiring discovering how they have developed an idea, talent or good fortune, into a successful business. My focus is to then work with these clients to help manage their tax affairs through proactive planning, and provide options to optimise tax savings.
I often find that many businesses innovate unknowingly. I get the greatest satisfaction from helping these businesses identify and claim rewards for such innovation by way of Research and Development tax reliefs. I also help businesses retain and attract talent through incentive schemes, such as Enterprise Management Incentives (EMIs).
As well as businesses, I am equipped at advising individuals on tax efficient ways of holding private wealth, the tax implications of property income, as well as optimum ways of passing wealth down to future generations.

I began my professional career on the ‘other side’ with HMRC, which saw me assisting on specialist tax compliance investigations. From there, I joined an independent firm in the city where I helped to protect the taxation interests of barristers, wealthy individuals and owners of small and medium sized enterprises, amongst others. I joined Gerald Edelman in 2015.
What’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done?
I once attempted to bungee jump over London Bridge. However, I ended up taking the sensible option...
What’s the most exciting thing on your bucket list?
I would love to go on a canoe safari along the Zambezi and see the amazing wildlife.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Foresight - I would love to see into the future and be one step ahead of everyone (it would be really useful to know the upcoming changes to tax legislation too!)
If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?
Trevor Noah – he's overcome incredibly tough times, yet still managed to build a life for himself and keep his amazing sense of humour.
