Everything that we do at Gerald Edelman is reliant on our IT systems working well and leading this essential function certainly keeps me on my toes. My work mainly focuses around ensuring that the firm’s IT needs are met, as well as maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest technologies available, and adapting our systems and strategies accordingly.

If you’re interested…
I joined Gerald Edelman in 1992 as a second-hand endowment policy broker, before moving to the Business Recovery department. In 1998, I established the firm’s IT department and have since worked alongside the partners to continue to develop this function and implement the firm’s digital strategy.

What is the most exciting thing on your bucket list?
I would like to swim the English Channel – it’s the ultimate challenge, both physically and mentally.

What one piece of advice would you give your 10-year-old self?
Take lots of risks and work hard to achieve your goals.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
The ability to fly – some of the best dreams I’ve ever had involved flying and it was awesome!

Who inspires you?
Richard Branson. He worked extremely hard and it paid off - now he gets to play even harder!
