Back to all people
I am a Director in the Corporate Finance team and predominantly provide buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence services to corporates, private equity investors, searchers and banks. I also assist with other aspects of transactions such as advising on deal completion mechanics and accounting elements of transaction agreements.
In addition to transaction related work, I am an experienced forensic accountant and regularly work on dispute and litigation matters such as breach of warranty claims, share purchase agreement disputes, contentious valuations and loss of profit claims.
I provide a wide range of advice across a variety of sectors but have a consistent approach to building trust and close relationships with clients. I regularly work with individuals and business owners who are making significant life decisions, and I am always mindful of the importance of my advice in achieving a successful outcome for them. Ultimately, supporting clients to achieve their goals and helping to resolve matters they need assistance with, is the most enjoyable part of my work.
I spent the early part of my career working in internal audit at two top ten accounting firms, before taking the opportunity to undertake a six month secondment working in forensic accounting. Those six months turned into nearly seven years and during that time I predominantly specialised in the quantification of losses and valuations. I always had a keen interest in, and enjoyed M&A related projects, which led me to make an internal move into transaction services. I then joined Gerald Edelman’s Corporate Finance team in 2023.
I am a massive sports fan and I have been fortunate enough to attend some high profile events, but I would love to tick off the list the FIFA World Cup final, an Ashes test in Australia and the Ryder Cup.
Take up golf, immediately! I would like to think if I had started playing at the age of 10 I would not be absolutely awful now.
Whilst it might be a boring answer, a meal with all of my family and friends.
The ability to stop time. Most people who grew up in the ‘90s will remember the CITV classic, Bernard’s watch. The watch was wasted on Bernard though. I’d put it to much better use!
We are grateful to Matt and the team at Gerald Edelman, for providing support and expertise throughout the process, which was instrumental in ensuring a smooth and successful transaction.
