Gerald Edelman’s ‘Beyond Compliance’ vision gets them shortlisted for Mid-Tier Firm of the Year at the British Accountancy Awards 2019

Gerald Edelman has been shortlisted for “Mid-Tier Firm of the Year: Turnover between £10-25m” at the British Accountancy Awards (BAA) 2019.

Hailed as an “honour” by the BAA, this award recognises mid-tier firms who have taken a unique, different, and innovative approach to business strategy which in result has added significant value to their clients’ businesses.

In the last 12 months, Gerald Edelman has experienced an accelerated rate of growth, with a 25.1% increase in income, several new hires, and the launch of five new services.

Contributing to Gerald Edelman’s growth has been the expansion of its existing service base and its alliance with SB&P, a practice based in Liverpool, which has expanded Gerald Edelman’s presence beyond the South East and diversified its client base into Northern England.

Eva Lindsay, Event Director at the British Accountancy Awards stated, “Now in their 9th year the British Accountancy Awards attract more than 900 guests from practices all over the country including the small local firms to the larger regional, national, and global players.

The Awards are regarded as the industry’s most prestigious accolades. They pinpoint professional development and highlight those that have demonstrated excellence in their profession during the last 12 months. They celebrate the impact that expertly designed and executed accountancy strategies make to business performance and the bottom line.

This year there were a record number of entries that made it through to the judging stages and an increase in overall quality of entry. This makes the achievement of making it to the shortlist stage all the more impressive.”

Richard Kleiner, CEO of Gerald Edelman stated, “At Gerald Edelman we challenge the very definition of an accountancy firm, inviting businesses to ‘ask us anything’, because our strategy is to be the first port of call for any business or client.

To support this vision, in the last 12 months, we have rebranded, formed several new partnerships, and grown our suite of services. Our team has been the driving force behind this change and we are therefore pleased to have launched several new initiatives to improve our employee wellbeing too. These include our running club, participating in Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index, and launching our mentoring scheme.

We are delighted that we have been recognised for such a prestigious award honouring excellence within the industry.”

Gerald Edelman strives to deliver genuinely exceptional relationships, experiences, and advice, whilst maintaining the utmost integrity.

The British Accountancy Awards take place on 25 September 2019.
