I always endeavour for my clients to be comfortable in the knowledge that I am just a phone call or email away – whenever they need me. I also see it as a priority to ensure that clients are fully aware of changes in legislation or the accountancy profession, so that they are prepared and armed with all of the relevant information required to remain compliant.

I am responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, including owner managed businesses and companies in the property, leisure and hospitality sectors. I advise clients on compliance matters and have a wide range of experience gained through my involvement in auditing various companies, especially within the real estate, wholesale, service and investment sectors, and of statutory accounts preparation for clients across a variety of sectors.

After qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2005, I gained experience within a number of other London based firms as a general practice accountant. I joined Gerald Edelman in 2011 after a short stint working in Business Relationship Management at the ACCA. The variety that accounts and audit work brings enticed me back into general practice and having recently qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in early 2018, I still very much enjoy that no two days are ever the same!

What is the most exciting thing on your bucket list?

I would love to learn different languages and become completely fluent. I enjoy being able to easily switch from English to the Ghanaian dialects of Twi and Fante, and would love to be able to do so in other languages too.

What one piece of advice would you give your 10-year-old self?

See every challenge in life as an opportunity and use what you learn from these situations to grow and become a better person.

If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?

Thomas Edison – he was both a genius and tenacious! I would really like to gain an insight into how he stayed motivated and why never gave up.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

The ability to mind read. To know exactly what anyone was thinking at any given moment would be so useful!
