“Failing to prepare is preparing to fail” – a quote that has stuck with me from an early age, and could not be more true when considering an M&A transaction. Having worked on a vast number of deals, I ensure that all my clients, whether seller or buyer, maximise the potential to get deals completed and at the best possible value – hopefully exceeding their expectations!

My core focus is to provide market-leading advice to business owners on selling and buying businesses, always with the focus on delivering successful outcomes. You can read more about the work my team is involved in here.

If you’re interested…

I graduated with a degree in Finance, Accounting and Management from the University of Nottingham in 2009 and subsequently joined the graduate scheme at one of the Big Four working in the audit department. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2012 and have worked in Deal Advisory since then. I have advised on many mid-market M&A transactions across a range of sectors, with a cumulative transaction value of well over £1bn. I head up the Deal Advisory team at Gerald Edelman.

What one piece of advice would you give your 10-year-old self?

Don’t worry about the little things – always take a step back and look at the big picture.

If you could have dinner with anyone who would it be?

Micky Flanagan – I’d laugh all evening and we’d then go ‘out out’…

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

I would be able to fly – to avoid the tube and traffic!

Who inspires you?

Roger Federer – he works incredibly hard, is super talented, but more importantly is a class act and role model.
