Back to all people
I work as a trusted adviser on the corporate tax issues that matter most to my clients, from day-to-day compliance through to complex advisory projects. That spans corporation tax returns, international and cross-border structuring, the Corporate Interest Restriction, and Pillar 2 obligations. My approach is to get under the skin of a client’s business so the advice is commercial as well as technically sound, and to translate dense legislation into clear, practical recommendations. I value being responsive and approachable, so clients feel they can pick up the phone whenever something arises.
I’m part of the Corporate Tax team, where I manage a varied portfolio of compliance and advisory work for UK and internationally active clients. Day-to-day, that means overseeing corporation tax computations and returns, advising on matters such as group reorganisations, interest restriction, and global minimum tax, and drafting technical and client-facing correspondence. I also support more junior colleagues and work closely with partners on larger advisory engagements. I enjoy the breadth, no two clients present quite the same set of issues, which keeps the work genuinely interesting.
I’m ACA and CTA qualified. I trained at Azets, where I built my grounding in accounts and tax compliance, before moving to BDO to develop my corporate tax expertise across a broader and more complex client base. Since then my work has increasingly focused on international and cross-border tax, advisory projects, and the technical issues that come with internationally active groups, which is very much where my interests lie today.
Living and working in Italy. I’m slowly working my way through the language with that goal in mind, and the idea of swapping the daily routine for life immersed in a new culture genuinely excites me.
Be patient and trust the slow build. The things worth being good at, whether a skill, a language, or a craft, reward consistent effort far more than bursts of enthusiasm. Keep showing up.
Cosimo de’ Medici. I’d love to understand the mind behind one of Italy’s most powerful and influential figures, how he wielded wealth, politics and patronage to shape Florence and, with it, the Renaissance.
People who pursue mastery quietly and relentlessly. The ones who set an ambitious target, break it into small daily habits and stick with it for years. That discipline, whether in sport or work, always inspires me.
