Colin Burns


Colin joined the firm in 1976 and later qualified as a Chartered Accountant specialising in taxation matters, achieving membership of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 1985. Together with Richard Kleiner, he founded the firm’s Wealth Management Division and continues to advise on tax efficient investments. Whilst servicing his own portfolio of clients, Colin runs a team who handle the tax affairs of many of the firm's private clients. Colin's clients work across a broad range of sectors, including many property trading, investment and development companies, together with several dental practices and businesses involved in the fine art world.

In December 2017, Colin passed the examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants to become licensed to offer Probate and Administration services.


In his spare time, Colin enjoys art, theatre, fine dining, travelling, following West Ham United Football Club and spending time with his wife and family, including his granddaughter. His eldest daughter and her husband are practising dentists, and his youngest daughter is a Chartered Tax Adviser at Gerald Edelman.
