Gerald Edelman supports the sale of JK Educate
Gerald Edelman is delighted to announce that it has supported the sale of JK Educate, one of the leading tutoring agencies and educational consultancies in the UK.
Teams from across Gerald Edelman provided the sellers, Lorrae Jaderberg and Katie Krais, with due diligence assistance and supported them through the SPA process, providing invaluable advice along the journey.
Lorrae and Katie began working together as class teachers in 1999. They went on to support each other in a range of senior management roles within schools, including SENCO and Deputy Headteacher.
With parents increasingly confused by the ever-changing world of education, and a lack of clear guidance and informed advice, JK Educate was formed in 2010. The consultancy now operates to support families across London and further afield, including advising families moving into the UK education system from overseas and providing tutoring support for everything from 7+ entrance exams to undergraduate studies.
The business has gone from strength to strength in recent years, and now finds itself in a new home, joining the family of a leading multinational education provider.
Lorrae Jaderberg, co-founder of JK Educate, commented:
“We are delighted to have completed this transaction. Gerald Edelman has been our advisor for many years, so having them to support us through this process has been invaluable. Thank you so much to their team for everything – they have been amazing, and Katie and I felt so much better knowing they were there advising us.”
Katie Krais, co-founder of JK Educate, added:
“It was hugely helpful having the GE team in our corner. They were extremely professional whilst also providing exceptional advice. We couldn’t have done this without them!”
Nick Wallis, Partner in Gerald Edelman’s Deal Advisory team, added:
“We are thrilled to have supported Lorrae and Katie with this deal, and it was an absolute pleasure to work with them. This deal again highlights the ability of different departments within the firm to come together to provide an all-round advisory support offering to clients.
We are really excited to watch the JK story evolve over the coming years and wish all parties the best of luck for the forthcoming journey.”
