Gerald Edelman’s Corporate Finance team win big at the SE Dealmakers Awards 2024

Leading mid-tier accounting and advisory firm, Gerald Edelman, is pleased to announce that its Corporate Finance team picked up two awards at the South East Deal Makers Awards 2024: Transaction Services Team of the Year and Emerging Dealmaker of the Year, which was awarded to Jack Bettell. This double win cements Gerald Edelman’s position as a key player in the Southeast region for M&A and transaction work. 

The South East Deal Makers Awards recognises the outstanding professional advisory firms in the region, who have been involved in deals for South East businesses over the qualifying period. The awards brought together the region’s best corporate financiers, accountants, bankers, funders, lawyers and M&A professionals. The sold-out awards were held at Lingfield Park Racecourse and – for the first time – the winners go forward to UK Dealmakers – a new national event from Insider.  

Gerald Edelman was awarded Transaction Services Team of the Year, beating a field of impressive finalists including Kreston Reeves, Knill James, Azets and Buzzacott. The judges were impressed by how Gerald Edelman’s Corporate Finance team added real value to every deal the team took part in, and ensured their quality remained exceptionally high. 

Jack Bettell came away with the Emerging Dealmaker of the Year award due to his work on the sale of Endesign/mFLOR to Karndean, as well as several other deals, and was feted by the judges for showing great maturity and ability for his relatively young age. Jack was up against strong competition from professionals from Crowe UK, Azets, Cripps, Mazars, Buzzacott Corporate Finance and Bibby Financial Services
