Gerald Edelman celebrates record year at the 2025 Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) Awards
On Wednesday 5 November 2025, Gerald Edelman hosted the annual Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) Awards. This year’s event saw a record turnout, with over 190 searchers and investors in attendance, the largest gathering since the awards’ inception.
Since its founding in 1946, Gerald Edelman has supported individuals and businesses across generations. Reflecting the rapid rise of ETA activity, the Firm advised on 19 search and ETA transactions in the twelve months to August 2025, more than double the nine deals completed in the previous year.
The ETA Awards were established to recognise and celebrate the entrepreneurs, investors, and advisors driving the ETA model forward, providing succession solutions and unlocking value for exiting owners.
All nominees were evaluated through a rigorous judging process led by a distinguished panel of industry experts: Bramley Johnson, Search Fund Investor; Alex Glasner, Search CEO and former ETA Award winner (Workpays, 2021); and Lisa Conmy, Partner at JMW Solicitors.
