I advise business owners on both personal and corporate tax matters affecting them and their businesses. I provide support throughout the full business lifecycle, from start-up and growth through to exit or succession. I work with clients across a wide range of sectors and enjoy seeing the passion they have for their businesses. I particularly enjoy combining the technical aspects of tax advisory work with a practical, commercial approach, helping clients make informed decisions while managing tax risk effectively.

My role involves advising clients on private company acquisitions and disposals, corporate reorganisations, share incentive arrangements and property structuring. I also undertake share valuations for tax purposes. I enjoy working on complex tax issues and providing clear, commercial solutions that align with clients’ wider business objectives. The variety of work and the opportunity to support clients on significant transactions makes the role both challenging and rewarding.

I am a Chartered Tax Adviser with over 20 years’ experience in tax. I previously worked for a Big Four firm and, prior to joining Gerald Edelman, was a tax partner at a top-20 accountancy practice, advising owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals.

What is the most exciting thing on your bucket list?

I enjoy travelling and exploring new places. One of my long-term ambitions is to visit and travel extensively around South America.

What one piece of advice would you give your 10-year-old self?

Don’t worry so much. Most of the things you worry about won’t happen, and those that do are rarely as important as they seem at the time.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Time travel — being able to visit both the past and the future would be incredibly useful and fascinating.

Elite sports professionals inspire me. I enjoy watching sport and admire the dedication, discipline and mental resilience required to perform consistently at the highest level
