As a member of the Deal Advisory team, our role is to make the deal process as easy as possible for our clients while finding the best possible outcome for them. This process can be incredibly stressful for our clients, therefore having our support will help relieve a lot of this pressure, enabling them to focus on their business.

In order to do this, building a trusting relationship is key. Clients have to believe that we have their best interests at heart and our sole mission is to find the best possible deal for them.

My role at Gerald Edelman is to support our clients throughout the deal process. This involves a deep dive of the client’s business to ensure it is in the best possible position before going to market, preparing marketing materials, identifying buyers for outreach and then managing the information flow and due diligence process.

The first step for any transaction is ensuring that we understand our client’s objectives  and businesses inside out. From there, we can offer the best possible insight and support to ensure they complete a deal that they’re happy with.

I started my career at GE as an audit trainee, becoming ACA qualified in 2021. After a few months of gaining experience as an Audit Supervisor, working across a range of sectors, I joined the Deal Advisory team in 2022.

Previously, I graduated from Durham University with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.

What is the most exciting thing on your bucket list?

I’ve always wanted to go on Desert Island Discs. No idea how or why I’d get invited on though…

What one piece of advice would you give your 10-year-old self?

Jump in with both feet to every opportunity. Half-heartedness gets you nowhere.

If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?

I didn’t get the chance to meet either of my grandads so I’d probably say them.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Time travel. Life would be so easy. And my memory is awful!
