My role is Chief People Officer. It’s a brand new role and demonstrates Gerald Edelman’s commitment to a people-first approach that drives our ambitions and shapes the future of the Firm by unlocking the potential of our culture. I’ll be building on the great work done to date to create an environment where people thrive and our clients achieve their success by partnering with us.
If you’re interested…
I’ve spent a big chunk of my career in accountancy and working with owner managers but also bring a varied background too. I started my HR career in the recruitment team at the Fire Service, have worked in global engineering firms, worked in the US for Royal Caribbean, in healthcare and have run my own consulting business.
What is the most daring thing you’ve ever done?
A skydive is up there for me. I definitely had a few jitters beforehand but ended up loving every second of the experience.
What is the most exciting thing on your bucket list?
There’s so many things I’d love to do – go into space, visit Antarctica, do a PhD. My plan is to do all of them at some point.
What one piece of advice would you give your 10-year-old self?
Take every opportunity that comes your way – one day you’ll find yourself on Britain’s Got Talent!
If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?
It’s not the usual response to this question but it would be my fabulous friend, Jane. We always have the best time, but we don’t get to do it often enough.
