In a globalised world, businesses and individuals must work and operate seamlessly across borders.

Our dedicated team of International Tax accountants and advisors work with our clients to build personal relationships and guide them through increasingly challenging tax risks enabling effective structuring, planning, strategy and reporting whilst achieving sustainable growth. Representing large multinationals, SMEs and individuals moving to or from the UK, our team has extensive knowledge of UK and overseas tax markets to help you and/or your business.

Our cross-border services are truly global: The London-based, multilingual team is fluent in Gujarati, Hindi, Hebrew, Russian, Afrikaans and Swahili; and Gerald Edelman is a founding member of the international alliance, XLNC, which gives our clients access to localised knowledge across the globe.

The international tax team

Sonal Shah

With over 15 years of experience, Sonal joined Gerald Edelman in 2017 to build the International Tax department. Sonal works with a mixed portfolio of corporate and private clients, with a particular interest and expertise in property structuring.

Raised in Kenya and having travelled extensively for work and leisure, Sonal aptly brings her passion and learnings from various cultural experiences to the International Tax team.

“Loving what I do certainly makes my work easier, and more enjoyable. Knowing that tax can seem daunting, I relish the challenge of translating technical terms into digestible language and love creating light-hearted environments to help put clients at ease. Delivering practical solutions to complex tax issues is also incredibly rewarding for me. I believe that the key to successfully fulfilling my client’s needs is building strong relationships.”

Ana-Maria Tomciac

Originally from Moldova, Ana-Maria commenced her professional career path with Gerald Edelman in 2015 as an ACA trainee. Since qualifying, Ana-Maria joined the International Tax department, working closely with Graham and Sonal to deliver tax compliance as well as tax advisory services to our international clients.

“Assessing tax implications across borders can be a formidable task, so my focus is to build trust and rapport with my clients by providing a personal service to give them the assurance that they need. I am committed to increasing my technical knowledge by pursuing the Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) qualification so I can equip myself to provide first class and meaningful advice.”
