Private Client Services
Gerald Edelman Private Client services with Glaisyers ETL
At Glaisyers ETL, we understand that there is a lot to consider when it comes to estate planning, and it’s not the easiest conversation for our clients to begin. We want to make the process more manageable for our clients, and we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to streamline our services.
One of the main obstacles when clients begin the estate planning process can be the struggle to liaise with both their solicitor and accountant simultaneously. With this in mind, we are pleased to support Gerald Edelman’s newly enhanced Private Client service offering, which integrates the legal and accounting aspects of estate planning into one coherent and effective strategy.
Leading our involvement in the legal service offering, are Chris Burrows, Partner and Head of Private Client and David Jones, Executive Partner, supported by the Glaisyers ETL Private Client team.
So, what’s the benefit of combined accounting and legal Private Client services?
To put it simply, the partnership will provide clients with access to a more holistic approach to estate planning, relieving some of their administrative burden. This means that they will be required to attend fewer meetings, receive accounting and legal advice that is not contradictory, and receive a more efficient service overall.
By combining our Private Client service offerings, we can guarantee a shared goal of helping individuals to protect their assets, minimise tax liabilities, and achieve their financial and legal goals. Working together with your best interests at heart, we will communicate seamlessly with Gerald Edelman’s expert team to provide a comprehensive service that leaves no stone unturned.
Chris is a compassionate solicitor with years of experience advising high net-worth individuals and business owners on effective estate planning using wills, trusts and family investment companies; with a particular focus on cross-border estates. He is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner and a full member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners). Using this expertise, Chris specialises in the creation and administration of trusts, acting as a trustee and advising both trustees and beneficiaries.
Chris has a firm belief that conversations about ageing and death can be positive and strives to help his clients achieve this whilst working with him. His clients also appreciate the level of technical knowledge and skill that Chris possesses, working tirelessly to help his clients decide how best to distribute wealth, manage personal finances, and plan for their own personal health and welfare in the future.
Chris has a personal specialism in international succession issues, having attained a distinction on completion of the STEP advanced certificate in Cross Border Estates. Using this, he continues to develop Glaisyers’ connections within the ETL GLOBAL network to assist practitioners from other jurisdictions where estates have an English connection.
David Jones is Executive Partner at Glaisyers ETL, heading up ETL GLOBAL’s legal footprint in the UK. David joined the firm with a vision of creating a stand-out model within the legal scene, combining the already personalised, local approach of the firm, with ETL GLOBAL’s international connections.
Since cross-qualifying as a Solicitor in 2009, David has acted in complex, high-value and often multi-jurisdictional disputes for successful entrepreneurs and corporates. Although primarily a litigator, David’s clients refer to him for advice across a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters, trusting him with matters affecting their business interests and wealth.
