Audit Manager

"My core focus is to build trust with clients, and for them to know that I am invested in their business and they can come to me for advice whenever they need it."

My aim is for my clients to see me as their first point of contact for any financial or business advice. My core focus is to build trust with clients and for them to know that I am invested in their business and they can come to me for advice whenever they need it. This trust is vital in truly understanding what the client wants for themselves and their business. By understanding this, I can focus on educating my clients on upcoming changes in legislation or requirements that will enable them to be dynamic and steer their business to success.

The bulk of my work concerns audit and financial reporting of entities within various industry sectors, ranging from property to investment management. I also work with several FCA regulated entities that have specific reporting requirements, and groups of companies where preparation or a review of consolidations is required.

I graduated from University of Birmingham with a BSc in Economics and then went on to do a MSc in Management at Imperial College London Business School. Upon completion of my post-graduate degree I pursued my ACA qualification. After a short break, I started my Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) qualification. Some might say I like studying...I say, I like having letters after my name.

What is the most daring thing you’ve ever done?
I’m highly risk averse – I’m even afraid of the question! I flew a plane once and convinced myself that I wanted to be a pilot. I tossed a coin in the end to choose between piloting and accountancy. Tough choice, right?

What is the most exciting thing on your bucket list?
I’m currently trying to knock off all the Wonders of the World…but they keep changing! I’ll just have to go on more holidays.

What one piece of advice would you give your 10-year-old self?
Never, ever grow up! You have no other purpose in life other than to play, eat and sleep. Imagine having to pay bills, go to work or do your own laundry. Keep the inner child alive otherwise life will be no fun.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Time manipulation – not to be confused with time travel. This is much better because I can time travel as well. I know it’s a cliché but there aren’t enough hours in the day. I can’t spring time out of thin air…oh wait – yes, I can.
